Joa...The mayday call consisting of: "No thrust, losing power, unable to lift" is slowly making its way out to the news sites from what I can gather as well.
Speaking from his hospital bed, Mr Ramesh said the lights inside the aircraft "started flickering" moments after take off.
Within five to 10 seconds, it felt like the plane was "stuck in the air", he said.
"The lights started flickering green and white...suddenly slammed into a building and exploded."
An ANA All Nippon Airways Boeing 787-8, registration JA825A performing flight NH-985 from Tokyo Haneda to Osaka Itami (Japan) with 109 passengers and 9 crew, landed on Itami's runway 32L, touched down, the crew deployed the thrust reversers when both engines (Trent 1000) rolled back and shut down.
Boeing did recently release a bulletin regarding the Thrust Control Malfunction Accommodation system (TCMA). The safety system is designed to prevent uncommanded high-thrust situations.

“MAYDAY… MAYDAY… MAYDAY… NO POWER… NO THRUST… GOING DOWN…"
On Jun 17th 2025 an official, a former Air India Captain trained by the Captain of the accident flight, stated, that the CVR has been successfully read out, the voices on the CVR are very clear. It is becoming gradually clear from the newly emerging evidence that there was probably zero negligence in the cockpit, the crew did not give up until the very last moment. The probability of a technical cause is high. A preliminary report by India's AAIB can be expected in a few days.
avherald.comOn Jun 29th 2025 India's Civil Aviation Minister said: "It has never happened that both engines shut down together." Investigators are analysing the black boxes from every angle including engine issues, fuel supply problem or something else including sabotage. A preliminary report is to be expected in three months. India has accepted the proposal from ICAO for an ICAO observer into the accident investigation. The observer will not have investigative authority, but will provide technical input and ensure that global best practises are being followed. This enhances transparency and reinforces India's adherence to international standards.
